SIGGRAPH DAY: Focusing on the cutting-edge of digital graphics and images, the event has come to a successful conclusion!

On July 11, 2025, SIGGRAPH DAY came to a successful conclusion in Shanghai. This significant event in the field of digital graphics, organized by the Shanghai SIGGRAPH Chapter, attracted numerous industry experts, technology enthusiasts, and professionals, who spent a fulfilling and wonderful day together.

 

This event attracted a total of 168 people from various fields to participate, covering a wide range of industries, including game development companies, landscape design research institutes, universities, self-media platforms, as well as well-known enterprises such as ByteDance, NVIDIA, X.D. Network, Weta Studio, Bilibili and Shengqu Games.

 

The diversity of participants not only demonstrates the cross-disciplinary appeal of digital graphic technology, but also brings a wealth of perspectives and profound insights to the event. This wide-ranging participation across industries has facilitated communication and cooperation among all parties, opening up new possibilities for the development of digital graphic technology.

 

Agendas

From 12:30 to 13:00 before the event starts, it will be the registration time. Attendees will arrive at the venue one after another and complete the registration process.

13:00 – 13:15: Eric Liu, the Chair of Hong Kong ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter & GAMEs Chair, SA2025, delivered the opening speech. He introduced SIGGRAPH Asia 2025 to be held in Hong Kong and painted a promising future vision for the audience present.
13:15 – 14:05: Yin Xiaofei, the CG Supervisor of Bilibili, and Jiang Yudong, an Technical Lead of Intelligent Creation Team, respectively delivered speeches on “A New Paradigm for Film and Animation Production Using Unreal Engine and Deep AI Computing” and “Exploring the Frontier of Animation Video Generation in the Sora Era”, sharing their latest achievements and in-depth insights in AI-assisted content creation.
14:05 – 15:05: The representative of Studio 5 from Japan, Representative of Studio 5 & Animation Director & 3D Director Honda Makoto delivered a speech titled “3DCG Characters in the Japanese Animation Industry and Future Prospects”, discussing the current application status and development trends of 3DCG technology in the Japanese animation industry.
15:05 – 15:35: CHAN TingKwan a WorldSkills expert and teacher at VTC Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology, and Liu Shiyu, a teacher from Ningbo Second Technical College, jointly hosted the GDSC 2025 award ceremony. During the ceremony, the outstanding winners of GDSC 2025 were honored, and sincere thanks were given to all the experts who provided support.
15:50 – 16:30: Mr. Luo Jien, Head of Technical support, delivered a speech titled “Taming the Rendering Beast: The Extreme Optimization Practice of UGC System in Heartopia. He shared the technical challenges encountered during game development and the solutions adopted.
16:30 – 17:45: Amano Kiyoyuki, the creative director and content creator of Kayac Studio in Japan, and Matsumura Shinya, the executive director and 3D CGI animation producer, respectively delivered speeches on “The Transformation of Japanese Animation through Technological Innovation”, presenting the latest achievements of the Japanese animation industry in terms of technological innovation.

Each of the speakers was an expert in their respective fields. They delivered their lectures in an easy-to-understand manner and with rich case studies, providing valuable knowledge and experience to the attendees. The audience on the spot actively participated in the interaction and raised many profound questions, engaging in in-depth discussions with the speakers.

The off-site exhibition is full of highlights.

The off-site exhibition area was also full of excitement. Two distinctive games, “SEDAP!” and “Divine Judgment”, captured the attention of many visitors. “SEDAP!” innovatively combines cooking and fighting, creating a unique two-player cooperative mode, bringing joy and challenges to the players. “Divine Judgment” immerses players in a world filled with horror and fantasy through its profound cultural background and stunning visual effects.
